How it works
Send the form above, or email or WhatsApp us. If it's mostly sofas, mattresses or old appliances, we'll likely point you at man & van instead — quicker, and those items can't legally go in an open skip anyway (see below).
The price is already set by size, above — we come back to confirm a delivery day. If it needs to sit on the road rather than your own drive, the council permit is sorted as part of the quote, not an extra call for you to make.
Delivered to the spot agreed, usually the same day or next morning. Keep the access clear — a blocked drive or an on-street parking dispute is the most common reason a delivery gets held up.
Standard UK rules apply to what can go in an open skip, same as with any provider — the list is below. Got something on it anyway? Tell us and we'll collect it separately by man & van, same visit if we can manage it.
Tell us when it's ready, or we collect on the date agreed when you booked — typically within 14 days of delivery, sooner if you ask.
What can't go in a skip
These items are excluded from open skips across the whole industry, mostly for the same reason: they're classed as hazardous waste, or the law requires them to be disposed of a specific way that a general skip can't provide.
Upholstered furniture (sofas, mattresses, cushions — the fire-retardant foam has to be incinerated separately, not skipped); fridges, freezers and air conditioning units (need degassing first); other electricals and appliances (WEEE waste); asbestos, gas bottles, paint, chemicals and car batteries; plasterboard often needs its own separate skip.
Every item on that list is something our man & van service collects and disposes of correctly every day, including the paperwork. If your job's a mix of skippable and non-skippable items, tell us and we'll quote both parts properly rather than leave you to work it out.
Price the rest by man & van →Worth knowing
A skip sits on your drive or the road for as long as you've hired it, and you still have to fill it yourself. Our man & van service is often cheaper than the same size skip once you account for the labour of loading it — and we load it for you, the same day, with nothing left behind. If you already know you want a skip, use the form above; if you're not sure, get an instant man & van price first and compare.
Commercial skips
Commercial skip hire is priced the same way, above — use the form, or email us if it's an ongoing or scheduled arrangement rather than a one-off. Our business accounts page covers volume rates and monthly invoicing.
Pick a size above and tell us where — we'll confirm the day.
