Student houses
Mattresses, a fridge freezer, a sofa and a pile of bags: priced up front, collected on a day that suits the house, and easy to split between housemates.
Houses around the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University and Aston University turn over in June, July and August, and the deposit inspection is often a few days away. Same-day collection is free where we have space, so you can book once the last exam is over.
One published formula: £65 to attend plus £25 per cubic yard, or fixed prices per item when that is cheaper, with a £69 minimum. An example priced on our live list: a 3-seater sofa, a mattress, a wardrobe, ten bags and six boxes come to £258 (6.5 cubic yards). Split between four housemates that is about £64 each.
We cover Selly Oak, Edgbaston, Harborne and the rest of Birmingham and about 30 miles around it. If anything is still in good condition, a local charity may take it for free first.
